NEWSWEEK, What a terrible design you've made..

This week's new NEWSWEEK magazine is going to be more expensive, and feature a brand new logo..

I dislike it with a passion..

When TIME mag changed its look a few years back, they said goodbye to the giant "TIME" that took up three quarters of the cover.. NEWSWEEK did the opposite, instead they kept the "NEWSWEEK" the same size by expanded the red portion even higher, making the cover design look like it includes a giant red oversized block with no text in it.. Also gone is the thin red border around the magazine--now it's just a cover with an endless picture..

I know it's technical, and who cares my thoughts.. But I just can't look at that cover without hating that giant red block..

Also.. really, for the first issue featuring its new logo, a giant photo of Barack Obama with even more gigantic letters blurred with his photo if visually unappealing and not effective whatsover..

Just an opinion.. that and a buck will get you a coffee.. I'm sipping mine now.
